New single, One With The Shadows

19th May 2025 Sigyn released a new single One With The Shadows, and continues to work on their 2nd full length album, anticipated to be released later in 2025.

“This song was already part of our rehearsal loop back when we were recording our debut album, Dehumanized. But at the time, it didn’t quite feel like it fit within the overall context of that album, so we decided to save it for later. Fast forward to recording drums for our second album—we realized we had 12 new songs and over an hour of material. Something had to be cut. Musically, One With The Shadows sits nicely between our first and second albums. It acts as a bridge between the more traditional keyboard-driven arrangements and the more orchestral vibe we’ve been exploring.” – Markus Suomela

“One with the Shadows is a great example of Sigyn’s new style—heavy riffs paired with rich orchestration in the background. What’s also new compared to previous Sigyn songs is that Markus contributed to writing some of the lyrics this time. The inspiration for the lyrics came from real life. I was watching someone close to me go through a lot, with all kinds of negativity thrown at them, causing an overwhelming amount of stress. Thankfully, in real life, the story had a much happier ending.” – Tapani Rantanen
